RULES OF U6 FIELD LACROSSE
18.03 U8 Rules
18.03.1 Play will consist of 5 on 5 play (4 players and a goalie) with NO Long Poles
18.03.2 Play will be cross field from the restraining line to the end line using 4 x 4 nets and soft balls. The front of the crease is 8 yards from the end line.
18.03.3 Play will be non-contact with no off sides and no faceoffs after goals.
18.03.4 Players will be subbed out for fouls as there are no time served fouls.
REGULATION 18 - RULES OF MENâ€™S FIELD LACROSSE
18.01 Rules of play in Alberta shall be those of the World Lacrosse Menâ€™s Field Rule Book for the current season. In order to ensure uniformity, there will be no variation of the World Lacrosse Rules and officials shall enforce World Lacrosse Rules with the following enhancements:
18.02 Menâ€™s Field Playing Rules
a) The World Lacrosse Rules of Field Lacrosse apply.
b) The Lacrosse Canada Coaches Code and the Lacrosse Canada Coaching Philosophy for Field Lacrosse must be adhered to. Adherence to these Guidelines will be monitored and interpreted by the ALA Representative.
c) All games will start on time unless otherwise decided upon by the ALA Representative.
d) WARM UP: there will be a five (5) minute warm-up before game time.
e) Game Times: full games will be run consisting of 4-15 minute quarters with the exception of the U10 division which will be 2-25 minute halves; U8 and U6 which will be 2 - 15 minute halves.
