The Alberta Field Lacrosse Association was established in 2018 and is the provincial governing body for field lacrosse in Alberta. As a member of the Alberta Lacrosse Association, and Lacrosse Canada, the Alberta Field Lacrosse Association is made up of individual members, member clubs and affiliated organizations. The purpose of the Association is to promote, encourage and develop participation and competition in both men’s and women’s field lacrosse.
Field lacrosse is a fast-moving, dynamic, sport played mainly outdoors principally in the summer. Our game offers play opportunities for new players, as well as high-performance athletes competing at the highest levels in the sport. Our members range in age from under six to under 19. We support programming targeted across the skill continuum, from grassroots development to athletes playing in the NCAA, Canada’s University U-Sport System, and Team Canada. Through the diverse programs and activities of our member clubs, the Alberta Field Lacrosse Association works to promote the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle for children and youth across the province.
