2019 will be the first season of province wide league play for field lacrosse in Alberta
Like box lacrosse there are boundaries for field lacrosse. Players can apply for a release based on grandfathering to play with their 2018 club if they choose. Check out the boundary map and find the release form on this site

In line with the Canadian Lacrosse Association and US Lacrosse there are some rule changes coming for Tyke, Novice Boys and U8 girls to give younger players more fun skill development, more time playing and less time running without the ball
Tykes will get games this year playing 5 on 5
Novice players will participate in games that will be played 7 on 7
U8 Girls will also play 8 on 8
Women's Field Goggles are now required to play in Alberta
League games will be played either Saturday or Sunday depending on your age division
Teams for league will be set early in July and movement between teams is controlled by affiliation rules
For the 2020 season teams in all age divisions will be parity
